Catherine is a solicitor in the
international and group claims department. She joined Leigh Day & Co in September 2009 as a trainee solicitor, and trained in the human rights and international and group claims departments before qualifying in September 2011. Catherine currently works on behalf of Iraqi civilians who allege torture, abuse or unlawful detention by the British Armed Forces in Iraq.
Catherine read History at the University of Edinburgh. Before joining Leigh Day & Co, she worked in the civil service and as a paralegal at the Robert Hamill Inquiry. Her voluntary work included work on secret prisons and rendition for Reprieve and on human rights and death penalty appeal cases at Trinity Chambers in Trinidad and Tobago.
