Kelly Lawford

Kelly specialises exclusively in clinical negligence claims.

She deals with a wide range of claims including cases involving the delay in diagnosis of appendicitis; claims arising out of negligently performed surgery as well as cases involving failures in postoperative care. Kelly has a particular interest in cases involving orthopaedic and spinal injuries and cases arising out of injuries caused during childbirth. She has developed a specialism in opthalmology cases and has handled claims involving misdiagnosed glaucoma and detached retinas.

Kelly works on a variety of cases involving severe injuries suffered by both children and adults and in claims with complex compensation issues.

Prior to becoming a solicitor, Kelly worked for a year as a paralegal assisting a senior clinical negligence partner at another firm with a complex case involving the catastrophic brain injury of an adult. Kelly joined Leigh Day when she completed her training as a solicitor in September 2003.
