Partner Richard Meeran and his team are currently representing a group of indigenous Peruvians who allege that they were detained and tortured at an environmental protest at mining company Monterrico’s Rio Blanco copper mine.
Legal proceedings, seeking compensation from Monterrico and its Peruvian subsidiary Rio Blanco Copper SA, were started in the English High Court on 2 June 2009.
