Common problem areas are the laser eye treatment for the correction of long- or short-sightedness, the management of metallic foreign bodies in the eyes, trauma to the eyes and its management and the delay in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma.
Leigh Day & Co also has experience of dealing with cases where the failure to screen for eye problems in premature babies has led to blindness, this is called retinopathy of prematurity.
