Inadequate standards in care homes

A new report has revealed that nearly half of all nursing and care homes fail to meet national minimum standards for how they give people medication prescribed by their doctors to treat serious and other illnesses.

On 16th February 2006 an investigation started into how a patient from Manchester, suffered heart failure and additional long-term health complications, following the standard implantation of a seemingly normal Guidant pacemaker.
