Leigh Day solicitors are advised that some cochlear implants have been imported into the UK after being produced to a substandard specification. This may have led to some children receiving faulty implants which permitted moisture to enter the device. These children are reported as having suffered excrutiating pain and the need to undergo lengthy replacement surgery. Ear infection and the risk of meningitis cannot be ruled out.
If your child has suffered in this way and you would like advice on how to seek compensation please contact Bozena Michalowska Howells on 020 7650 1200.
