50th anniversary dinner for British Cycling

22 February 2010

British Cycling celebrated its golden anniversary in Manchester on 20th February 2010.  The event was attended by Olympians, competitors, volunteers and sponsors and incorporated the traditional annual awards with the induction of 50 of British Cycling's finest into the newly created Hall of Fame.

National champions from all categories across the sport were recognised at the awards ceremony before attendees were treated to a history of British Cycling since its inception in 1959.  2008 Olympic champions Chris Hoy and Victoria Pendleton were in attendance at this glittering occasion.

Sally Moore, head of the personal injury and accidents department at Leigh Day, Penny Knight, head of the cycling and sports injuries team, cycling team members Phil Hunter and Rob Goodship were also in attendance and Penny was delighted to be asked to present prizes to both Chris Hoy and Victoria Pendleton.
