British Triathlon member, Nigel Downing, has recently recovered compensation following a road traffic collision in June 2005. Nigel was taking part in a time trial and was struck by a motorist and knocked unconscious. He has no recollection of the collision.
Nigel suffered multiple cuts and grazing as a result of the collision. He also had soft tissue injuries to his neck and knee which have not fully resolved despite chiropractic treatment and physiotherapy. He now suffers from tinnitus.
Penny Knight of Leigh Day & Co’s sports injury team acted on Nigel’s behalf and his claim was supported by British Triathlon.
