The Polish Client Department at Leigh Day & Co has successfully concluded a claim for personal injuries sustained as a result of a road traffic collision on behalf of Mr Wojciech Dudek.

The incident occurred on 12 November 2004 when the Defendant drove his car directly into Mr Dudek’s path causing a collision.

The car hit the right hand side of Mr Dudek’s motorcycle and as a result, he was thrown from his bike and into the road.

Mr Dudek was treated at Kingston Hospital for multiple injuries, the most serious being multiple fractures to his leg. Mr Dudek was unable to work for a period of time and required care from his family. Initially the motorist’s details were not known, but after investigating the matter, he was was identified and matters progressed though his insurers.

The case almost came to trial due to complex medical issues, however once the matter progressed to the motorist’s solicitors, negotiations took place and we were able to reach an amicable settlement.

Mr Dudek received £18,500 by way of compensation.
