Successful damages claim for British Cycling member

Jonathan Andrews has received damages after being injured in a road traffic incident

British Cycling member, Jonathan Andrews, has successfully concluded his damages claim after an incident which occurred on 21st October 2007 at the junction of Ditton Park Road and the A4 in Twickenham.

Jonathan was knocked off his bike by a vehicle which failed to give way, pulling out from a minor road on to a major road and causing a collision. As a result, Jonathan suffered bruising to his left hip, left ribs, left arm and left shoulder. He also suffered a graze to his right wrist. The driver of the vehicle provided his insurance details. Following receipt of medical evidence, settlement negotiations started. Damages were agreed to include compensation for Jonathan’s injuries and other losses and expenses.

Jonathan was represented by cycling & sports injuries team at Leigh Day & Co and his claim was funded and supported by British Cycling.
