Karl Norfolk has successfully concluded his damages claim arising from a road traffic accident, which occurred on 17 March 2008.
At the time of the accident, Karl was cycling with his partner along Huntsmoor Road, Tadley, in Hampshire. As Karl and his partner approached the junction at Whitedown Road, a motorist suddenly pulled out of the junction, and drove directly across Karl and his partner’s path. They had no chance of avoiding a collision and as a result of the impact, Karl sustained damage to his bicycle and other consequential losses. His partner suffered damage to her bicycle and other losses.
Liability for the accident was admitted by the motorist's insurers and Karl’s damages claim was agreed in full. He was represented by
Anna Hart in Leigh Day & Co’s cycling and sports injuries team and his claim was supported and funded by British Cycling.
