The firm has been growing rapidly in the new legal landscape and now wishes to appoint a senior, human resources professional to assist the Managing Partner in developing and implementing a strategic people plan.
The key focus will be on strategic human resources, talent selection, talent management and development and employee engagement together with the day to day running of the function and management of a small HR team. The successful candidate will be a highly credible, innovative HR professional with a strong blend of strategic and operational HR experience, preferably gained in a professional services environment. He or she will be able to make a major contribution in an environment of highly motivated, dedicated, intelligent and hard-working lawyers and be comfortable with providing guidance and coaching to management on all aspects of human resource activities. We will be looking for evidence of ambition and commitment to a career in human resources, together with the key skills required to introduce new ideas, make the case for change whilst at the same time engendering trust and respect.
You will have proven interpersonal skills, a strong drive to succeed, the ability to work autonomously, as well as in a team, and be seeking an interesting and exciting new challenge. With a generalist remit your experience should include developing operational/functional expertise, organisational development, designing, implementing and rolling out HR programmes, as well as policy and procedure development and the full range of employee relations issues.

Practice Management System Developer/DBA – Business Services Department – IT Team - Ref: PMSD/BS/IT
We are urgently seeking a Practice Management System Developer/DBA to join our friendly IT Team within the Business Services department.

This is an interesting and exciting role and the successful candidate will mainly be responsible for developing, customising and providing support for the firm’s practice management system. The PMS Developer/DBA will also be responsible for all in-house SQL and Access databases including maintenance plans and ownership of an SQL code repository. The successful candidate will also be required to run advanced SQL queries. There will also be opportunities to undertake other varied and challenging tasks.
This is a busy and demanding role and a high standard of performance is expected, with the ability to deliver business solutions within tight timescales. The successful applicant will possess at least 5 years’ experience in a professional services environment with knowledge of legal practice management system(s). Together with good communication skills, candidates should possess strong knowledge of MS Excel as an analysis tool, MS SQL, Access and database structures. We are looking for energetic, committed and driven individuals who are able to use their initiative and take ownership of projects assigned.
