Assistant Solicitor – International & Group Claims Department – Ref: AS/IGC/BOZ
We are urgently seeking a Solicitor to assist a Partner in our International & Group Claims department.

This is an interesting and challenging role and the successful applicant will hold a responsible position assisting a Partner with her caseload of product liability claims. The work will mainly focus on defective products claims against large companies. This position will ideally suit candidates who possess 4 to 7 years’ relevant work experience although all applications will be considered.
Previous experience in personal injury and/or clinical negligence is essential. Experience in orthopaedics is advantageous. Knowledge of group litigation procedures and product liability experience is desirable although not essential. Experience in acting on behalf of claimant (as opposed to defendants) is an advantage. Candidates should hold a current practicing certificate.
This is a busy and demanding role and a high standard of performance is expected, with the ability to deal sensitively with clients and experts. The successful applicant will have strong knowledge of law, good IT, research, and problem solving skills and will be an effective communicator. Strong written & verbal skills are a must have, together with the ability to manage tasks in an assertive, efficient and timely manner. A proven commitment to the type of work we do is essential.

We are seeking 6 Solicitors to assist Partners in our Clinical Negligence department.

These are interesting and challenging roles and the successful applicant will hold a responsible position assisting a Partner with their caseload of Clinical Negligence claims. These roles will mainly be assisting on claims involving different types of clinical negligence and injuries, for instance, birth injury claims, brain injury, spinal injury and other complex, high value medical injuries. These positions will ideally suit candidates who possess 0-4 years’ PQE, although all applications will be considered.
Previous experience in clinical negligence is essential. Experience in acting on behalf of claimant (as opposed to defendants) is an advantage. Candidates should hold a current practicing certificate.

Paralegal – International & Group Claims Department - Ref: PARA/BOZ
We are currently seeking a Paralegal to join the Product Liability Team in our International & Group Claims Department.

This is an interesting and challenging role and the successful Paralegal will assist a Partner and her team of Solicitors working on a large product liability group claim. This role involves drafting documents, corresponding with clients, undertaking research, taking new clients enquiries, investigating existence of LEI, chasing medical records, and assisting with other general administrative tasks. The successful candidate will be able to sort and review medical and financial records, liaise with medical professionals, financial institutions and other solicitors.
Ideally candidates will have excellent academic background (legal qualification essential). Experience in clinical negligence/personal injury is required together with a year or more relevant paralegal experience. The successful candidate will be conscientious, computer-literate with excellent literacy skills. Along with being strong team players, candidates should be able to deal with clients in a sympathetic and compassionate manner. We are looking for hard working and proactive individuals who are able to use their initiative. A positive attitude and an active interest in this area of law are essential.
